OHL Energy Limited is a wholly owned operating subsidiary of GLWD Investment Company Limited, established to lead the Phase 1 development and management of the OHL Trans-Nigeria Electrification & Energy Transition Project.
As one of the two implementation companies for the OHL Trans-Nigeria Electrification & Energy Transition Project, OHL Energy Limited is responsible for the domestic production of high-efficiency solar photovoltaic modules and advanced lithium-based energy storage systems. By localising the manufacturing of clean energy technologies, OHL Energy Limited strengthens Nigeria's renewable energy value chain, reduces dependence on imports, and lowers the cost of solar electrification across the country.

Integrated Production from Ingot to Module
The Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Cell & Module Manufacturing Plant combines ingot and wafer production, cell manufacturing, and module assembly on a single site, with a total installed production capacity of 600 MW per annum covering the full ingot → wafer → cell → module value chain. The factory is designed as a high-automation, continuous-flow complex that can sustainably deliver around 600 MW per year.

Function: Converts purified polysilicon into high-quality monocrystalline silicon wafers through crystal pulling, ingot shaping, wafer slicing, and texturing.

Function: Transforms silicon wafers into photovoltaic solar cells using advanced techniques including diffusion, passivation, metallisation, and anti-reflective coating.

Module Specification: 410 W framed modules, 82-cell layout

Function: Integrates solar cells into complete, fully encapsulated and tested solar panels using soldering, layering, lamination, framing, junction box attachment, and flash testing.

Function: Converts qualified active materials into tested prismatic LFP cells. Achieves repeatable capacity, low internal resistance, stable SEI formation, and tight cell-to-cell variance.

Function: Aggregates matched cells into electrically and thermally balanced modules. Delivers modules that meet defined voltage and current specifications, integrate sensing and BMS interfaces, and manage heat effectively for EV or ESS duty cycles.
