OHL Industrial Zone Development Limited
OHL Industrial Zone Development Limited is a wholly owned operating subsidiary of GLWD Investment Company Limited, established to lead the Phase 1 development and management of the OHL Trans-Nigeria Urbanization Project.
As one of the two implementation companies for the OHL Trans-Nigeria Urbanization Project, OHL Industrial Zone Development Limited will manage the entire industrial city value chain, from infrastructure development to utility distribution and port operations.
The company will operate a comprehensive industrial zone development platform providing land leasing, embedded power distribution, and port terminal services for the MDG Project Nigeria ecosystem.

OHL Industrial City — Six District Master Plan
The OHL Industrial City is divided into 6 integrated districts across 2,000 hectares, each designed to support specific functions within the industrial ecosystem.
This balanced land use distribution ensures a complete, mixed-use industrial city where power generation, heavy industry, logistics, housing, social infrastructure, and business services are co-located within a single integrated masterplan.

OHL Powergrid Limited will operate a 1,250 MW embedded generation platform within the Power District, providing reliable, competitively priced electricity to all industrial city tenants through renewable energy sources.

  • Solar Power: 1,200 MW (12 modular streams of 100 MW each, with 6 peak sun hours daily)
  • Biomass Power: 50 MW (baseload and backup power using agricultural waste feedstock)
  • Battery Storage: 3,600 MWh (2 x 1,800 MWh LFP BESS for 18-hour night coverage)
  • Annual kWh Output: 2.46 Billion kWh distributed to industrial tenants

Port Terminal Complex
The OHL Port Terminal serves as the dedicated export and import hub for all goods produced within the OHL Trans-Nigeria Agro-Industrial Project and OHL Trans-Nigeria Mining, Minerals & Metallurgy Project, handling both containerised and bulk commodities.
Phase 1 Capacity (Year 1):

  • Bulk Cargo: 1.7M tons annual capacity
  • Total Berths: 2 (1 container + 1 multi-purpose)
  • Terminal Area: 20 Hectares
  • Dredged Depth: 14m for large vessels
