OHL Powergrid Limited is a wholly owned operating subsidiary of GLWD Investment Company Limited, established to lead the Phase 2 development and management of the OHL Trans-Nigeria Electrification & Energy Transition Project.
As one of the two implementation companies for the OHL Trans-Nigeria Electrification & Energy Transition Project, OHL Powergrid Limited is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy infrastructure, including grid-connected solar and biomass-based power generation facilities.
The company will develop utility-scale solar PV plants as modular generation units (streams) that export electricity to the OHL Industrial City grid. Each stream has a 100 MW capacity producing 183.6 GWh annually. OHL Powergrid Limited will operate 12 streams in the first year of operations.
